Since moving to New Mexico, her success with Lindal Cedar Homes has been mirrored in her many contributions to the community.  She has served as a councilor for the Village of Eagle Nest and as president of the Eagle Nest Chamber of Commerce.  In addition, Gabriele founded Sangre de Cristo Communities Interacting, a non-profit corporation dedicted to preserving the history of Eagle Nest and surrounding areas with the Gateway museum, currently under construction in Eagle Nest.
